NSW Post Office directory 1903 - A to K

57,500+ records

This directory records the people living in the Sydney and Newcastle areas in 1903 taken from the New South Wales postal directory. The history includes last name, first name, occupation (if known) and location. Note that some of the listed locations no longer exist within the NSW postal system, so to determine where they were, try a quick Google search on the location name.

Apart from the last name, a lot of the data is abbreviated, ie: “Alfd” instead of “Alfred”, “fmr” instead of “farmer” etc. While an attempt has been made to expand the abbreviations for data such as location and occupation, the name data has not been changed. The page number field relates to the page number in the directory where you can view the source info. Images are available on Trove.
