An agricultural and dairying town 72 miles from Brisbane on the Main Southern Railway. The district is noted for its splendid spa springs “Helidon Spa Water” being popularly known throughout the Commonwealth. There are several valuable freestone quarries within a few miles of the town. The stone from these quarries is largely used in the best buildings in Brisbane. A good fruit growing district.
