A town in the Herbert River district connected by steam tram with Lucinda Point which is 60 miles north of Townsville. Sugar-growing is extensively carried on in the district. There are many places of interest around Ingham. At a distance of 35 miles are the Wallaman Falls on Stony Creek. These falls have a clear drop of 935 feet and from overshoot to bottom of 1072 feet. Good fishing and shooting. Alligators and wild boars plentiful.
