The district is very picturesque and valuable timbers are found in the surrounding mountain ranges. Many beauty spots of interest to tourists within easy reach of the town. The scenery along the whole Killarney Branch line is very fine and the district is one of the most prosperous in the Stats. The climate is an ideal one. Dagg’s and Brown Falls and the Trout Hatcheries are close to the township. Killarney is one of the recognised health resorts of the State.
