A town on the South Coast Railway 49 miles from Brisbane. The district is chiefly devoted to the agricultural dairying and timber industries. Great wealth of mountain and scrub scenery and waterfalls within easy reach of the town. Good shooting at Beech Mountain. The mountains and tablelands range from 1940 feet to 2000 feet and are full of interest to the “alpiner” and scientist. The climate is very invigorating. Within easy drive of some fine ocean beaches.
